Vertical Shots over the last decade… 2015 - 2025 from various trips…
2015 - Crystal Cave Sequoia National Park. This is the trip that ignited my desire for low light photography. Thus began my research and stumbled onto the many YouTubers out there that post videos for the inexperienced. I took many shots here, but most of the vertical shots were too blurry. I will post some of the landscape photos in the future. Shot was taken with a Canon 60D // Tamron 18-200mm @ 22mm f/3.5 ISO 3200 - 1/30s.
2015 - The week after our stay in Sequoia National Park we spent a week in Palm Springs. You can see the vertical images from Joshua Tree in a separate gallery. Shot taken with a Canon 60D // Tamron 18-200mm @ 18mm f/6.3 - ISO 3200 - 30 seconds. Camera was set on top of an outdoor recliner arm.
2015 - With my limited knowledge of low-light photography, I wanted to shoot some photos of a Joshua Tree at night, hoping to get a glimpse of the Milky Way. So I took my 9 yr old daughter with me and we drove from Palm Springs to Joshua Tree. Shot with a Canon EOS 60D // Tamron 18-200mm @ 18mm f/3.5 ISO 3200 - 15 seconds. My camera was resting on a flashlight on a picnic table. Now it was time to put some of those YouTuber tips to work! @froknowsphoto and @tonynorthrup were pivotal in helping me become a better photographer.
